Featherweight Maintenance
Your Instructor will supply the required lubricants, and machine oil to use during class and will also have additional containers of these specialized lubricants and oils to purchase the day of class.
You will learn how to maintain, clean, oil and shine up your featherwieght, as well as, troubleshoot minor problems and keep it running in top form.
You will need to bring with you:
- Your featherweight with foot pedal
- Empty Bobbin
- NEW needle suitable to your fabric (size 9,10 or 11 universal point)
- Scissors or thread snips
- Two colorful contrasting spools of thread (100% cotton)
- Light color material for test sewing
- FLASHLIGHT WITH NEW BATTERIES
- Old pie tin (or other container of similar size) for holding parts
- Screw drivers (one long shank 3/16th" flat blade, and one jeweler with 1/8" flat blade)
- Tweezers
