Japanese Sashiko #103 - Koki Drawstring Bag

I love the nature oriented Japanese art form of Sashiko and its history.  Come join me for a day of relaxation as you learn the basic stitches for "Koki" a weaving form of stitching.  We will help you prepare your project to be successful from beginning to end.  Kit must be purchased from Pioneer Quilts.

Day of Class:

  1. Pick up kit at cash register counter in main store
  2. 1/2 yard Form Flex woven fusible, or Pellon Woven Fusible (available at Pioneer Quilts)
  3. Select you lining fabric based on the color of your bag:  you will need a fat quarter
  4. You will need scissors, note pad for taking notes
  5. Assorted Sashiko Needles  (Hidimari are my favorite - available at Pioneer Quilts)

NOTE:  This is a full day class, so come prepared with a sack lunch or snack to energize you through the day.  We will provide the coffee, tea, and bottled water.
