Japanese Sashiko #103 - Koki Drawstring Bag Class



I love the nature oriented Japanese art form of Sashiko and its history.  Come join me for a day of relaxation as you learn the basic stitches for "Koki" a weaving form of stitching.  We will help you prepare your project to be successful from beginning to end.  Kit must be purchased from Pioneer Quilts.

Once registered for class, you may come in and pick up your supplies and  receive a 10% discount. 

  1. Select your kit off of the floor
  2. 1/2 yard Form Flex woven fusible,  (available at Pioneer Quilts)
  3. Select your lining fabric based on the color of your bag:  you will need a fat quarter
  4. Three colors of Sashiko Thread 
  5. Assorted Sashiko Needles  (Hidimari are my favorite - available at Pioneer Quilts)
Additional Supplies to Bring:
  1. Sewing scissors
  2. Pincushion
  3. Needle Threader
  4. Note Pad for taking notes
  5. Pen and pencil

NOTE:  This is a full day class, so come prepared with a sack lunch or snack to energize you through the day.  We will provide the coffee, tea, and bottled water.
