Using Color Value to Enhance Your Quilting Practice

Our 3 hour class meetings (10:15-1:15) are spread over 3 weeks in order to allow participants time to absorb and apply their learning.  In addition to our work book, we will use a variety of resources - - including color swatches, fabric scraps, quilt examples, our phone cameras, and each other - - on our shared exploration.

Quilters of varied levels of expertise are welcome!  All you need is your workbook to be ready for the first class!  (You will choose a quilt design and fabric after our first class.)  You can choose to use a design you already have, start a project that has been waiting for your attention, or allow your classmates to help steer you in a direction.  Keep in mind that there will be limited time to work on your project in class.  Rather than a finished project, expect to benefit from an instructor and classmates who will provide support, encouragement, and feedback in an environment that feels safe to take risks and ask questions.

Class Supply List:
 - Smart Phone
 - The Quilter's Field Guide to Color work book (Provided)
 - Ruby Ruler (optional) - Available in Store
 - After First class:  materials you will need to work on your quilt project ( e.g. pattern, fabric, rotary cutter, ruler, sewing machine, thread, cutting mat)

Materials Provided:
 - Iron and ironing board
 - power strips
- design walls
- coffee, tea, and bottled water:  (feel free to bring a snack or lunch with you)
