Love At First Sight - Foundation Paper Piecing
This is the class to hone your paper piecing skills with Melanie as your Instructor. You will get practice in cutting and placing your pieces correctly. Your pattern has three layout options to choose from; select the layout that suits you best.
PRE CLASS:
After registering for class please come in to Pioneer Quilts to purchase your pattern and the Carol Doakes Foundation Papers so that you can print your pattern pieces prior to class to bring with you. PLEASE DO NOT!!!!!! - print your pattern pieces on regular copy paper.
We will have the following items here for you to purchase at 10% off, once you are registered:
- Pattern
- Carol Doakes Foundation Papers
- Add-A-Quarter rulers
- Glue Sticks, and of course
- Fabric, fabric, fabric
Class Policy
- Must know how to independently operate your sewing machine
- Your Sewing machine: remember your power cord, foot pedal, bobbins, sewing machine needles
- Choose a foot where you can see your stitching line and again, DONT FORGET your power cord and foot pedal
- Basic sewing notions, i.e., scissors, seam ripper, thread, rulers, pins
- Neutral thread for piecing
- Rotary cutter and ruler
- Glue Stick
- Regular paper scissors for cutting out pattern pieces
- Add-A-Quarter ruler (optional, but recommended)
- Seam roller or small iron
